DAY 01 CAESAREA–
HAIFA– GALILEE– TIBERIAS |
You
will be met on arrival at Ben Gurion Airport by
our assistant and assisted through immigration.
Next you will be checked in to a hotel in Netanya
where you can freshen up before traveling north.
Visit the city Caesarea, built by King Herod,
The seat of the Roamn governer Pontius Pilatus
and place where Peter baptized Cornelius, the
first Roman. We then travel onwards to Haifa,
Israel’s largest Port city, built on the
slopes of Mount Carmel. Visit the famous Persian
hanging gardens for a view of the Bahai shrine.
We also visit the Springs of Elijah and then we
continue to Muhraqa, the place of sacrifice. This
morning we drive to Mt. Tabor, the sacred site
of the Transfiguration. Your tour ends at Tiberias
with dinner and overnight at Eden Hotel. |
DAY 02 GALILEE–
CAPERNAUM– CANA |

This morning we
drive through the landscapes of Galilee
and later for a ride in a replica of a
Galilian fishing boat of that time, on
the Sea of Galilee and where Jesus calmed
the storm and walked on the water. We
also visit Capernaum – the center
of Jesus ministry after he left Nazareth.
We stop at Tabgha – the church of
the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes.
We make a brief halt at St. Peter’s
house, the Church of Primacy of Peter
and the place where Jesus bestowed St.
Peter with his authority.
In the afternoon
we visit Cana where Jesus performed his
first Miracle, Changing water into wine
at the wedding feast. Then on to Nazareth,
the boyhood town of Jesus, home of Mary
and Joseph. After a visit to the Basilica
of the Annunciation, Joseph’s workshop
and Tomb of the Just you return to Tiberias
for dinner and overnight.

DAY 03 JORDAN
VALLEY – JERICHO– JERUSALEM |
Today
you leave Galilee fro Jerusalem via the
Jordan Valley. We stop at Yardenit on
the Jordan River, the traditional baptismal
site. We stop and view Qarantal, drive
past the rift valley and Jericho, believed
from carbon test to be the oldest city.
Then we continue onto Jerusalem. Tour
the new city of Jerusalem i.e. Yad Vashem,
Wailing Wall etc. Dinner and overnight
at Reich Hotel, west Jerusalem. |

DAY
04: BETHLEHEM -EIN KAREM |
This morning visit
Bethlehem located in the Judah Province.
It was here that the Angel announced the
birth of Jesus to the shepherds of Bethlehem
during the reign of king Herod. We visit
the Church of Nativity – the birthplace
of Jesus and the city of David, Manger
Square, Shepherds field, Crusaders Cloister,
Grotto of St. Jerome and Rachel’s
tomb. Next visit to Ein Karem –
the city of Judah and birthplace of John
the Baptist and the church of Visitation.
Proceed via the Monastery of the Cross-to
Mt. Zion. Visit the Cenacle – the
room of the Last Supper and the tomb of
King David. We also visit the church of
St. Peter of Gallicantu. Later we visit
the house of the high priest, Caiaphas,
where Jesus was imprisoned.

DAY 05: QUMRAN–
DEAD SEA |
We
drive through the Judean wilderness stopping at
Bethany, the house of Mary and Martha and Lazarus’
tomb. Descend to Dead Sea, the lowest point on
the earth (1350 ft. below sea level). We make
a brief stop at a private beach, and take the
opportunity to float in the salty buoyant water,
rich in minerals. Continue along the shores of
the Dead Sea to Qumran, the caves where the Dead
Sea scrolls were found.

DAY 06: OLD CITY OF
JERUSALEM – JAFFA– AIRPORT |

Today we ascend the Mt. Of Olives overlooking
the Holy City of Jerusalem. Visit the
Church of the Ascension, which commemorates
the ascent of Jesus to Heaven and, the
Pater Noster Church. We will stop at the
Chapel of Domimius Flevit, where Jesus
wept over the imminent destruction of
Jerusalem. The chapel is built in the
shape of a tear as a poignant reminder
of this event. Then visit the garden of
Gethsemane where Jesus prayed while Judas
betrayed him to the Romans. Next visit
the Basilica of the Agony (Church of all
Nations), which stands out from afar.
Enter the old city through St. Stephens
Gate where we visit the Crusader Church
of St. Anne. We make a brief halt at the
Pools of Bethesda where Jesus healed the
crippled man.
We take the Via
Dolorosa (Way of Grief), traditionally
accepted as the last route trodden by
Jesus. Follow the 14 Stations of the Cross
to Golgotha, the place where Jesus was
crucified. You will see the Pilate’s
Judgment hall, the Chapel of the Flagellation,
the Ecce Homo Arch and the Convent of
the Sisters of Zion. Below the Convent
is the Lithostrotos where Jesus was publicly
tried and where the Roman soldiers mocked
him.

The
last 5 Stations of the Cross are inside
the Church of the Holy Sepulchre visible
from the distance, with its two silver domes.
You will then be transferred to Jaffa (Joppa),
to see the house of Simon the Tanner and
visit St. Peter’s Church after which
you will be transferred to Ben Gurion airport
for your flight.
